Hello everybody!

As you may have noticed, since version A6C.RC3.1 was introduced, some problems appeared. They all concern the way the destination displays, or display boards, are controlled. I will not introduce into the operation of the controller (as this is clearly explained by a scheme at the homepage), but into the way you can get the boards to work properly.

So, what do you have to do to make the displays back alive?

Many new people (as well as those, who already are in the community) do not know, how to set things correctly, because no tutorial [in English] existed before raw documentation, which is harder to understand.

How to convert a bus?

1. In the texture (painting) folder there is a file named desc.ts1. Open it and change all WP, WJ, WD and WT to DB. [As well as that, you'll need to add "1," in front of every line that corresponds to the first part of the bus (or to a solo bus) and "2," in front of every line that corresponds to the second part in an articulated bus. The final lines can look like:
DB 1,0.0238,8.48,2.5,1.8,0.26,90,0,0
DB 1,1.26,3.68,2.075,1.0,0.2,0,0,0
DB 1,0.0053,-3.3900,2.5,0.38,0.25,-90,0,0
or similar.]

2. Create a file named Displays.txt in the folder with the texture. But, what do we write there? Copy the text in wysw.bus file that is in the same folder. Here is an example:

MAN_NG272 PUP
myl
3
112x16ma
przod
84x16ma
bok
21x12mg
tyl

What do these letters mean? Everything can be found here >> http://wiki.virtualb...Tablice_kursowe [it's in Polish, sorry].

RG
3
112,16,dor,0
84,16,dor,0
21,12,dor,2

What does the above mean, then? Everything can be found in the documentation file in the main vBus folder [usually Dokumentacja.html, which is in Polish; English translation is under construction (I think)].

The only thing I can mark out is the "RG" line. It tells vBus, what fontwork to use (RG, PIX and std are the standard fonts [R&G, PIXEL Bydgoszcz and plain text] and a few others are available with some bus models).

That's all for the bus. Save your desc.ts1 and Displays.txt files, launch the bus on the standard Maczno map and check if the displays are working fine.

Now, let's convert a map.

1. Let's now go to the Maps folder and open any *.ms1 file, say "500-1A.ms1" [tr.: I changed the file, the original was a Żerniki map file].

LN 500
K1 Rondo Radoslawa
K3 Brodno-Podgrodzie
K5 Przejazd
K6 Techniczny
D1 1
D2 1
D3 2

A1 3564.915,4149.509,122.5
U1 0,0,0,0,1,1,1,"scene\500\500.3ds"

---->> SRG "Maps\Warszawa\500.srg"

(...some content here...)

Did anything new come in? Yes, a line starting with "SRG" argument. It directs vBus to a file, which we will create in a while. [please delete "---->>" in front of the line - it's just a mark]
Please stick it in the same way into all *.ms1 files (replace "Maps\Warszawa\500.srg" with *.srg file's location - "Maps" is necessary!).

2. Now, we create an *.srg file. This one will be named 500.srg and be located in Warszawa folder, which will be placed in Maps folder.

An example of file's contents:

5
500,3,Brodno,Podgrodzie
500,3,Rondo,Radoslawa
9999,1,Zjazd do zajezdni,R4 "Stalowa"
9999,4,Awaria
9999,3,Przejazd,Techniczny

How do we create such a file? Copy the above and paste it into Notepad or any other text editor, then save it in Maps\Warszawa folder with .srg extension. Make sure you have "All Files" and "Unicode" marked on the drop-down lists.

I try this...but it doesnt work. For example, for Irisbus Citelis i change in DB in desc.ts1 file
D1 1.18,7.4,1.28,0.7,2.3,0,0,0
D2 1.18,3.05,1.28,1.5,2.3,0,0,0
D3 1.18,-1.88,1.35,1.4,2.3,0,0,0

DB 1,0,8.73,2.846,2.15,0.31,90,0,0
DB 1,1.36,6.15,2.64,1.32,0.3,0,0,0
DB 1,0.31,-3.14,2.6167,1.32,0.3,-90,0,0
LD 3
PL 1

Then I create the displays.txt file and i copy the wysw.bus text. The new file displays it looks

Solaris 12
ora
3
112x16ma
przod
84x16ma
bok
84x16ma
tyl

And i launch with map maczno 101 but nothing happens...:( Where do i wrong?

The desc.ts1 file is correct, but you've made it wrong with Displays.txt - it has another syntax than wysw.bus. It should look like this:

std
3
112,16,ora,0
84,16,ora,0
84,16,ora,0

Where:
std - it's the font type of the displays (std - standard, and two polish display makers: PIX - Pixel, RG - R&G),
0 (at the end of each line from 2nd line) - it's the display's type: 0 - line and direction, 1 - only direction, 2 - only line displayed.

I think you can perfectly see what do other things mean, as I took the data from your wysw.bus file posted above.

Solaris 12
ora
3
112x16ma
przod
84x16ma
bok
84x16ma
tyl
std

112,16,ora,0
84,16,ora,0
84,16,ora,0

:dash2: :dash2:

Thanks!

Oh, man... Get rid of old "wysw.bus" content from "Displays.txt"... You need there ONLY the piece that I posted above.
